Summer is Gonzo...

Yup, so school has officially started, summer is over, and the windows of the cars were frosted over this morning. Not gonna lie I'm pretty scared about the winter here, it's already pretty cold so this is going to be quite the adventure. But with fall starting that means the greatest sport in the world is started back up, I'm so jealous you all get to watch college football. Not too much hope for BYU though, I can already hear dad around week 5 of the season saying they are dead to him. But who knows. This week was pretty good, we were super super busy. Our bishop died a couple weeks ago, so we are helping run the ward, it's keeping our schedule pretty full. Also we found out that there is a sweat shop in the basement of the building we live in. Way to keep it classy Asia. Here is a rundown of my week:

Tuesday: We met with the little girls Anojin and Bojinglam again. They were crack ups again. It was fun to talk with them and visit with their family. We taught a quick new member lesson then just chatted with them the rest of the time we were there, it was pretty fun. And then we had our english lesson later that night. The lady we teach had her friend come too. Her friend either owns or works this tour company and asked if we want to see the countryside. She said she has a plane and can take us anywhere we want haha. It was so hard to tell her we can't do that. But maybe when we come back we could hit her up. And that was really the day, just a lot of travelling from one place to the next. And now because it's getting colder more people are taking buses so they are getting ridiculously packed.

Wednesday: Pretty decent day. Had our district meeting right in the morning, we got some pizza and ate that during the meeting, so it was a good time. Then right after that Rand and I had to hurry up to the buses and go way back into the mountains to meet with Huselnzaya, the nine year old girl we are meeting with. So we got off at the bus stop, but we could not remember how to get to her house. The ger districts are a literal maze. So it took us 30 minutes to finally find it, but we did get there. As we were teaching, her grandma joined in on the lesson. Turns out she is a super spiritual person. She just can't get to church because of her health, but she is a super solid member. So really she just taught the lesson. Then right after that we had to hurry over to the church for our next lesson. We were meeting with Odzaya, the 13 year old girl. She is a super awesome investigator, and that lesson went really well. But the church's electricity was out, so we luckily had just enough light left to teach. Then after that lesson, the clerk was organizing some stuff there, and saw us and asked if we were busy, we had a few hours to spare. So he wanted to play us in chess. Turns out all old mongolian dudes play chess for fun, so he worked me over. But he said I did really good and he wanted to play again, but we had to  get to our next lesson with a person we never met before. We were going to meet at the church but there was no light left. So we called her, and she gave us the weirdest directions possible. Eventually we got to the bus stop she was at. Turns out she doesn't live in our area, but we passed her on to the other elders she lives by. But we taught her a lesson, and it was kinda rough, Rand and I were so Mongolianed out by this time (pretty much 9:00 at night) and she was kinda off the whole time. But we taught a short lesson then left.

Thursday: Today was actually our least busy day. We just got some chores done and went shopping and ate some Circle K hot dogs. It was nice to take a breath this day.

Friday: We met with Huslenzaya again which went well. She should be baptized with her cousin this week actually. Then we ran over to the AP's church, they are meeting with someone who lives in our ward, so they wanted us to come meet her and teach a lesson. It was a super solid lesson, and then they asked her to be baptized and she said yes. Super great, she is also our investigator now, her name is Myadag. Then we went to the light street again for more street tacos lol.

Saturday: Today was stupid busy. Started out by teaching Huselnzaya again. Her mom is a less active member, but knows everything. So she really helps explain it to her. We are hoping that both her and her mom will start coming back to church, and we think that by having the mom teach, she will remember why she joined the church and that will bring her back to church. We will see. Then we hurried over to the church again to meet with Odzaya. That lesson went well, then I asked her to be baptized and she also said yes! But she wants to be baptiized on her birthday, November 1st coincidentally. So we told her we can do that. It might be far away, but she is solid so we aren't worried about her. Pretty funny her and mom share a birthday. Then we were going to meet with the little 8 year old girl again, but because of school she couldnt meet. So then we made some lunch, then went back to the church to meet with Mydag. Lesson also went great, then afterwards she stayed behind to watch a baptism from the other ward, but we had to go to our next appointment so we couldn't stay with her. We met with Orgil, the husband and wife. They are super great. In the lesson he said, "why don't I just go to spirit prison and then we can hangout there while you teach me?" and then we were thinking "good question dude" and he goes “ I'm just playing haha, let's keep going" Hes a funny guy, plus he really believes in Christ. He told us, "yeah I believe Christ will come again but not like He did the first time. This time everyone will see and know He is here" Pretty cool.

Sunday: Because of school we only had Mydag come to church. The kids all have to meet their teachers this weekend. But church was good, kinda hectic though because we do so much extra stuff to help out. After church we got to take the sacrament to an old lady who cant go to church. It was a super cool experience. She started crying and saying how grateful she was for us, we might help her family finish the house they are working on. We just need to try and make some time for it. But it was a great experience.

This week is looking crazy busy for us too. So things are on the up and up. Love you all!!!
